New Patient

WELCOME - Upon entering Core Wellness Centres you will be greeted by our reception team.
Prior to your appointment, we will provide you with our new patient forms for you to complete and bring with you to your initial consultation.
2. INITIAL CONSULTATION - Your chiropractor will take time in your initial consultation to discuss your challenges and discover your health goals. We will figure out a working diagnosis for you and be sure that we can help you achieve your goals at Core Wellness.
3. EXAMINATION -Your chiropractor will carry out a thorough initial orthopedic, neurologic and functional examination to understand your diagnosis and construct a wellness score to reflect your current level of health.
INBODY ASSESSMENT - We will run a very accurate in-body composition analysis with you. This will allow us to see how much muscle and fat is on your body. It will also allow us to see your level of visceral fat (fat around organs) and the hydration state of your body. We will also get your BMI, pulse and blood pressure.
SPINAL / POSTURAL ASSESSMENT - Your chiropractor will assess your spine and take digital posture pictures. We will also scan your spine digitally to get nerve and muscle scans that will be printed out for you. If needed we will run digital X-rays or refer for MRI.
STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY TESTS - We will put you through a number of orthopaedic tests to find out where the pain is coming from. We will also asses your movement to see how well your body is functioning.
4. REVIEW OF FINDINGS - Once we have completed the examination if your chiropractor feels we can help you your report of findings will be scheduled. On this visit the chiropractor will discuss all the findings from the examination and present a care plan with expectations and likely outcomes. We will present you your wellness score
which measures your physiology and bodily functions scoring you a grade between A and F.
Every programme is unique to the individual based on their own health goals and needs, so whether you are looking to lose weight, increase your energy, improve your posture or get out of pain this is the starting point to ensure you get the best care possible for your case.
5. STARTING TREATMENT - If we honestly feel we can help you with your case the first treatment is often at the end of your report visit. This may use a combination of approaches to include chiropractic adjustments, massage and intersegmental traction (as seen above).
